Aurora to hold community meeting on plans for city center
The city of Aurora will host its second and final virtual community meeting next week to discuss future plans for the Aurora city center.
The meeting will be held via Webex on Oct. 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
This meeting will update the community on feedback and results from the first round of public surveys.
The city began collecting public opinion after the first meeting over the summer discussed development opportunities for the city center.
Participants of the meeting will have the opportunity to share their priorities for the future of the city center, including transportation, public spaces, housing, employment, shopping and dining.
In recent years, Aurora has significantly invested in the city center near Interstate 225 and Alameda Parkway.
The city center is set to be one of the first locations of In-N-Out Burger in the state and construction is underway to expand the center’s mall.
“There’s potentially much more to come,” said Julie Patterson with the city of Aurora, adding that development interests and investment opportunities “could transform the area even further.”
Instructions for attending next week’s virtual meeting are available at AuroraGov.org/CityCenter.
