Are prairie dogs worth saving?
There are some in our community who undoubtedly would say that the answer is no. For people who live in areas where prairie dogs are common, the fur-bearing digging machines can be a nuisance. That’s particularly true for farmers who don’t want the critters scarfing down their crops.
That’s a legitimate and completely understandable point of view. To which we offer the following well-reasoned and totally unemotional counter argument: But they’re so darned cute!
