BLM seeking applicants to fill positions at new Grand Junction location
The Bureau of Land Management has begun advertising its open positions for hire at the new Grand Junction location.
BLM signed a lease in September to move its national headquarters to the Western Colorado city, which the agency said would save significant money.
At that time, BLM said in their announcement that they would be filling 19 positions at the new location.
Currently, 10 of those positions are listed on USAjobs, including chief of staff, senior policy adviser and assistant director of communications.
The salary offers for some of these positions are more than twice Grand Junction’s average annual wage of $44,600, which could benefit the city, reports CPR.
“It means that our average annual wage continues to go up, which is our whole goal,” said Grand Junction Economic Partnership member Robin Brown.
