Mark Truax promoted to Pac/West executive VP

Pac/West Communications said Tuesday it’s promoting Mark Truax, the head of its Denver office, to executive vice president.

Truax joined the firm — known for its work on political campaigns and issues, particularly oil and gas in Colorado — in 2009 and has led its Denver office the last six years.

“Mark has been a cornerstone of this company and played a major role in its success,” Paul Phillips, president of the Oregon-based company, said in a press release. “He has proven himself to his clients and this company time and again and has a bold vision for what Pac/West can and should be.”

The company said Truax has managed the Denver office’s largest client, Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development, since 2013, and he has also served as a strategist on “issues from Alaska to Texas to Washington, DC and all places in between, dealing with public lands, wildlife and energy, among other issues.”

“We put in a lot of time cultivating relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders so they know they can trust we’re going to deliver,” Truax stated. “That relationship allows us to think ahead, give some forethought and anticipate their needs.”
