The latest round of Democratic debates didn’t do much to boost the standing of Colorado’s presidential candidates with voters, according to post-debate polls.

New national survey results from Quinnipiac University and Morning Consult both show former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet at 0% among Democratic voters after rounding.

The Quinnipiac poll, released Tuesday, was conducted Aug. 1-5, and the Morning Consult survey, out Monday, was taken Aug. 1-4, both immediately after the July 30-31 debates in Detroit.

In the Morning Consult poll, Hickenlooper and Bennet also both scored 0% percent among Democratic voters in the early-primary-and-caucus states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.

Both Coloradans have been lagging most other candidates in polling and fundraising, and were looking for the latest debates to lift their fortunes.

Debate qualification rules get tougher in September, and as things stand now, neither candidate would qualify.

Hickenlooper reportedly has been under pressure to drop out of the presidential race, given his lackluster showing so far, and switch instead to Colorado’s U.S. Senate contest.

Both polls show former Vice President Joe Biden remaining the clear frontrunner, with 32% support in the Quinnipiac University National Poll and 33% in Morning Consult’s data.

Quinnipiac, which surveyed Democrats and independent voters who lean Democratic, has Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts at 21% support, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont at 14% and Sen. Kamala Harris of California, who campaigned in Denver last Friday, at 7%.

If anyone got a “pop” out of the latest debates, Quinnipiac’s pollsters concluded, it was Warren, who jumped up to 21% from 15% support in its July 29 survey.

Harris, on the other hand, dropped sharply to 7% from her July 29 score of 15%.

Morning Consult’s survey of Democratic primary voters has Sanders at 19%, Warren at 15% and Harris at 9% nationwide.

And in the “that’s gotta hurt” category, the Quinnipiac poll asked voters who said they watched the Detroit debates which candidate “did the worst job,” and 6% said Hickenlooper while 3% said Bennet.
