The Pueblo Chieftain: Join Canon City’s ‘revolution’

Let’s just put this out there: Canon City already has a pretty cool downtown business district. Now imagine how much cooler it could be with $500,000 worth of improvements and the buzz generated by some national media publicity.

Our neighbor to the west is one of six finalists to be featured in “The Small Business Revolution,” a television series that appears on Hulu and YouTube. The series, hosted by Amanda Brinkman with the assistance of home renovation guru Ty Pennington and a team of marketing experts, will focus on upgrading six businesses within the selected community.

In that way, it’s somewhat like the “Extreme Makeover” reality show that made Pennington a household name. At least among the households that benefited from the program’s renovations.
