The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel: It’s time for action

At the end of tonight’s Mesa County Valley School District 51 Board of Education meeting, board members will get legal advice on specific questions regarding Superintendent Ken Haptonstall’s employment contract behind closed doors.

Our hope is that these legal questions revolve around terminating Haptonstall for cause – thus possibly avoiding an expensive severance or buy-out – in a bid to repair the community’s trust.
