The Pueblo Chieftain: Grading our schools

People in this community have strong opinions about Pueblo City Schools (D60). Heck, we’ve been known to express a few of them on our Opinions pages from time to time.

So when the district is actively soliciting comments and suggestions on how it could improve, it would be a shame to pass up an opportunity to provide them. That’s why we’re encouraging people to participate in an online survey that D60 is using as part of its efforts to craft a five-year strategic plan.

Input from the surveys will be used along with information collected during a series of eight focus group meetings that wrapped up last month. Those meetings were well attended, with about 400 students, teachers, parents and other stakeholders participating.
