Colorado House passes its version of SB 267 fix; bill heads to Senate

Shortly after 10:30 Tuesday morning, and after more than an hour of wrap-up debate by both sides, the Colorado House voted 37 to 25 to pass its version of the special district fix, House Bill 17B-1001.

Three members of the House – two Republicans and one Democrat – were excused. The final vote included all the Democrats present and Republican Rep. Dan Thurlow of Grand Junction.

The House bill now heads to the Senate and certain defeat. The House bill is identical to one killed in the Senate Transportation Committee on Monday, the first day of what is now expected to be a two-day special session.
