Former 9News anchor Gregg Moss to lead Metro North Chamber

Gregg Moss, a newsman in Denver for more than two decades, is the new president and CEO of the  Metro North Chamber of Commerce.

The Westminster-based chamber maintains a presence at the state Capitol and presses a legislative agenda there. It represents business interests from 13 cities (Arvada, Aurora, Brighton, Broomfield, Commerce City, Dacono, Erie, Federal Heights, Firestone, Frederick, Northglenn, Thornton, Westminster), four counties and six school districts in the region north of Denver.

“We are very excited to have Gregg join the chamber team,” Dana Talarico, who chairs the chamber board, said in a statement. “He has deep roots in the Metro North region, brings a rich history with area chambers and non-profits, is a highly accomplished businessman and is a visionary who will take the chamber to new heights of service excellence. The Board is delighted to welcome Gregg as the leader of our chamber community.”

Moss retired last year from KUSA, where he had worked off and on as an anchor and reporter since 1993. His reporting focused on business. Moss has divided his time between media, business and nonprofit work over the years. Before joining 9News, he was the associate publisher for the Denver Business Journal.

“The Metro North Chamber is focused on fueling the region’s remarkable economic growth in a way that is intentional and collaborative, and I look forward to bringing a bold new vision for the organization as we grow opportunities for the members and communities we serve.”

He most recently served as executive director at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood. Moss sits on the boards of Special Olympics Colorado and the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, as well as past board seats on more than a dozen other nonprofits.

Moss moved to Colorado in 1985 from New Orleans. He graduated from the Loyola University in New Orleans with a double major in communications and social work, and he holds an honorary doctorate from the Colorado Institute of Art.
