Greeley Tribune editorial: We wish refugee didn’t have to be in Greeley, but we’re glad he’s here

Our hearts go out to Sultan Ahmad, who came to Greeley in 2015 because his country was no longer a safe place to live.

He had to leave his wife and three kids behind in Myanmar. He also had a comfortable life. It’s the kind of life you or many others in Greeley enjoy. Now it’s gone.

We are glad that Ahmad feels safe in Greeley and that he was able to come here. His time here also seems to prove a Trump notion wrong: Refugees are not bad people. We don’t need to keep all of them out of the country.
