A Trump Tower of our very own? Meaning, POTUS will visit more often?

We newsies out in the provinces are always looking for a connection between our fair state and, say, President Donald Trump. (It’s called localizing; it’s what we do.) So, here’s as good an example as any; we’ll attribute it to Denverite – which is how we find out so much of what is going on in the Mile High City – though you may already have learned of it from another source (like Bloomberg):

According to Denverite’s Adrian Garcia (citing Bloomberg):

Trump Hotels CEO Eric Danziger said Tuesday the company is considering opening luxury properties in Denver, Dallas and Seattle….”There are 26 major metropolitan areas in the U.S., and we’re in five,” Danziger is quoted saying. “I don’t see any reason that we couldn’t be in all of them eventually.”

Garcia also reminds us of some of the 45th president’s previous business maneuvers in Denver – and let’s remember he was first (and last and always, as some would have it) a real estate tycoon:

Denver’s come close to getting a Trump property before.

Back in 2006, Trump had a $1 billion bid to redevelop Union Station shot down. He also presented a plan to construct the tallest building in the city before the Great Recession put a damper on development, Westword reported last summer.

Milo Yiannopoulos is his […]

Who's on deck to take over the El Paso County GOP? Let's see...

El Paso County long has been the mother lode of the state’s Republican Party. The county’s GOP is the largest of any county’s Republican Party in the state, and the county’s lopsidedly Republican Denver delegation long has played a pivotal role in legislative ranks at the Capitol. You get the idea: As the El Paso County Republican […]
