Top Colorado Republican crowns Trump king of trash talk

In case you missed it, there was that flap on Christmas when Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus sort of characterized Donald Trump as a king and possibly a messiah. A top Colorado Republican, however, sees Trump as the king of trash talk.

The RNC had released this message by Priebus celebrating Christmas:

“Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King.”

Social media and then regular media were quick to take the bait of a Trump-style vague remark that stirs controversy.

On Christmas morning, Sean Spicer, the RNC spokesman soon to be the White House press secretary, tweeted:

Be that as it may, Josh Penry, the former state Senate minority leader and current Republican campaign adviser to the stars, said New Year’s Eve morning that Trump definitely wears a crown, that of a royal trash-talker, the quiver in sports for glib and nasty barbs:

Penry, you might recall, was Marco Rubio’s campaign manager in Colorado. That’s “Little Marco,” as he was called by Trump, the man Rubio hung with the reputation of having small hands and wherever.

Colorado liberal activist Michele Patterson had her own title for Trump:

Is Obama really in Trump’s league, though?

Well, last year, when the press quizzed him about people who disagree with his position on gun control, Obama took a broadside at backside of the GOP, in general: “There are all sort of crackpot theories floating around, some of which are sometimes ratified by elected officials in the other party.”

Superstar baller Kobe Bryant has played some pickup hoops with the president, and verifies, “He talks a lot of trash.”
