FBI names new leader in Denver

The FBI in Denver has a new leader.

The agency announced Monday that Calvin Shivers has been named as the special agent in charge of the Denver division, which is responsible for both Colorado and Wyoming.

He most recently served as the acting special agent for the division and as chief of the violent crimes against children section at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C.

He joined the FBI in 1990 and has held leadership positions in human resources, counterterrorism and the criminal investigative division.

Shivers replaces Thomas Ravenelle, who was transferred to FBI headquarters.
