Smallwood makes ballot in Senate District 4 — Yesterday, the Colorado Secretary of State’s office notified Jim Smallwood of his campaign’s success in acquiring a sufficient number of valid signatures, officially placing him on the 2016 Republican primary election ballot.
Smallwood turned in 2,008 signatures, after collecting them throughout the months of February and March. Of those, 1,207 were validated and 801 were rejected by the secretary of state’s office. He needed 1,000 to qualify for the June primary ballot
