COLORADO OPEN LANDS

Lakewood

News: The Olander family of Loveland has been selected to receive the 2025 Cranmer Award and will accept it on Sept. 18 when Colorado Open Lands hosts its Cheers for Conservation celebration at Four Mile Historic Park in Denver.

Steve and Marsha Olander are fifth-generation farmers and the owners of Olander Farms in Loveland. In December, 2022, they permanently protected their 112-acre farm with a conservation easement, boosting the pace, quality and permanence of agricultural conservation in Northern Colorado.

Todd and Emily Olander operate Root Shoot Malting on the land, growing high-quality grain for the Colorado beverage industry. With a focus on innovative agriculture and a commitment to responsible stewardship, Todd and Emily represent the next generation of agricultural leaders in Northern Colorado who are propelling land conservation in the state.

Todd and Emily use their story to inspire broader conservation awareness – beyond their own land – to encourage a future that supports agricultural communities, families and wildlife.

Tickets for Cheers for Conservation are now on sale and may be purchased by visiting www.coloradoopenlands.org/cheers-for-conservation

About the organization: Colorado Open Lands is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit land trust that exists to protect Colorado’s land and water resources.
