United Airlines to offer bus service from DIA to Breckenridge, Loveland

United Airlines is making the traveling experience a little easier for passengers headed to the slopes of Breckenridge or Loveland — which includes skipping the line for a rental car.

The airline announced Friday that it was partnering with Landline, a premium ground transportation company, to bring flyers from Concourse A at Denver International Airport to Breckenridge or Loveland.

The new service will allow travelers to avoid waiting for checked-in luggage, avoid the airport light rail and not needing to rent a car, order a Lyft, Uber or taxi, and be directly transferred from the plane to a bus.

“With this new service, customers can start their day anywhere in United’s global network and arrive slope side in Breckenridge minutes from the main gondola,” said Landline co-founder and CEO David Sunde.

“These new routes exemplify our mission to redefine the airport by making it mobile and multimodal. We could not be more thrilled to have United’s commitment to innovation and passion for customer service backing this new endeavor.”

Tickets for this new way of travel went on sale Friday with daily service to Breckenridge beginning March 11, and four services to Loveland on April 1.

This is the first time Breckenridge has been served by an airline and Loveland’s first global network carrier service in a quarter decade, United officials said.

“United’s new service from Denver to Breckenridge and Fort Collins is just one example of how we are identifying opportunities to innovate our route network to get people where they want to go with ease and convince,” said Ankit Gupta, United’s vice president of domestic network planning and scheduling.

“Our customers tell us that national parks and ski destinations are important to them and we are proud to partner with Landline to offer a unique, seamless way to help them get there.

Landline is providing similar services in partnership with Sun Country out of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with daily-routes to northern and southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Passengers arrive at the main terminal Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020, as construction continues at Denver International Airport.

Agitator's civil suit against former Morgan County sheriff dismissed

A federal court has dismissed a civil complaint against the former Morgan County sheriff from a notorious agitator – not because the claim was meritless, but because the judge could not find other cases similar to it.
