Funds still available for Boulder small business grants; program ending soon

Small businesses in Boulder County still have time to apply for COVID-19 relief grants before applications close Friday.

Restaurants, bars, caterers, movie theaters, gyms, recreation centers, breweries, wineries and distilleries within the county may be eligible to receive up to $7,000 in the assistance grants.

“Boulder County’s small businesses are the heart of our local economy and jobs people depend on,” said Boulder County Commissioner Matt Jones. “We’re excited to partner with the state of Colorado to provide this economic relief.”

To qualify, businesses must have either (1) opened between Jan. 1, 2020 and March 26, 2020 or (2) have opened before Jan. 1, 2020 and experienced at least a 20% reduction in revenue due to the pandemic.

Small businesses that have applied for funding from the Colorado Arts Relief Program are not eligible to apply.

Jones said Boulder County has received few applications for the program so far.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday. Full eligibility requirements and application materials are available at coloradoenterprisefund.org.

A gun tips the balance in a test of wills, however. AOC was on “Cuomo Primetime” […]
