The Pueblo Chieftain: A fresh start for D60?

Here’s a bit of advice for the Pueblo School District 60 board members who were sworn into office last week: Be true to yourselves.

Two of the three, Margaret Wright and Tommy Farrell, are newcomers to the board. The third is Barb Clementi, a longtime educator and veteran board member who barely held off political novice Jackie Seybold by 160 votes to keep her seat.

Farrell and Wright ran for office with promises to challenge D60?s status quo, as did Seybold. It seems pretty clear from the election results that voters want to see some changes in the district’s operations.
