Gus Meza plans Saturday concert for a drug-free Trinidad

A concert and community gathering in Trinidad on Saturday evening will help launch a new nonprofit, Partners for a Drug-Free Community, to help take on the community’s mental health needs, as well as the and the Las Animas County Veterans Council.

Colorado Springs-based entertainer Gus Meza is performing. Admission is a $10 donation payable at the door at Trinidad Middle School beginning at 5 p.m.

Partners for a Drug-Free Community is a partnership of the Colorado Health Solutions, the Las Animas County Health Department, as well as local legal and law enforcement officials, said County Commissioner Tony Hass, one of the organizers. 

Meza is known for Frank Sinatra covers, but he also performs from catalog of other standards. country, Motown, Spanish love songs and gospel.
