CDOT appoints Steve Harelson to chief engineer position
The Colorado Department of Transportation has a new chief engineer.
Steve Harelson has been chosen and will begin his new position immediately, according to a Wednesday release from CDOT.
Harelson has worked for CDOT since 2002 on various projects, including work in hydraulic engineering, planning, and design work on the US 285 and I-70 Mountain Corridors. Since 2013, he served as the West program engineer in the Denver metro region.
“Steve’s range of work and experience with some of our most important infrastructure will be a great asset to CDOT and the traveling public,” CDOT Executive Director Shoshana Lew said. “Steve’s leadership will be instrumental as we continue to work to deliver a safe and reliable transportation system in Colorado.”
