Bennet to attend meet-and-greets in Iowa on campaign trail

Michael Bennet isn’t slowing down his campaign after failing to quality for the September debate.

The Democratic presidential candidate will be attending two meet and greet events in Iowa on Sunday.

One event will be at 3 p.m. at RAYGUN in Cedar Rapids, and the other at Black Hawk County Democrats Headquarters in Waterloo.

Bennet plans on continuing his campaign while criticizing the Democratic National Committee for rules that left him unqualified for the next debate.

Bennet adviser Craig Hughes said in a statement Wednesday, “Despite the DNC’s opaque and arbitrary rules,” Bennet plans to move “full steam ahead” with an “insurgent campaign” focused on early primary states.
