Two articles in Saturday’s Sentinel served as apt reminders of that. The stories remind us of what has been when it comes to downtown riverfront property, and what can be.
One of the stories regarded the passing, at age 101, of Elizabeth Harris. She’s the person we have to thank for the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens, a downtown gem built on land along the Colorado River that previously had been home to a salvage yard.
