The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel: Making amends

The Catholic Church’s decision to submit to an independent investigation of how it’s handled allegations of sexual abuse of Colorado children is as awkward as it is hopeful.

Should the church be lauded for finally and completely owning up to a crisis of its own making? Perhaps not. But if the church intends to re-establish its integrity worldwide, what it’s doing in Colorado should serve as an example of the right way to try to make amends.
