The Pueblo Chieftain: Tough choices ahead on D60′s plan

Say this much for the Pueblo City Schools (D60) facilities master plan: It’s gotten a lot of people in this town fired up about education.

MOA Architects, the private firm that’s assisting D60 in the development of the plan, released a list of 15 different options last week, which included closing some schools, renovating some schools and building new schools.

The outcry was swift and predictable. Groups of boosters who think their schools are likely targets for closure have begun mobilizing and flexing their political muscles.
