The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel: Got apprenticeship?

In his final interview as governor with Colorado Public Radio, John Hickenlooper lamented being late to recognize the importance of alternatives to college degrees as pathways to good-paying jobs.

“If I had to do it over again, I would’ve preferred to recognize what a huge challenge it is that so many young kids aren’t going to college and, ‘How do we get them the skills?'” Hickenlooper said.
