She wasn’t the Centennial Institute’s preferred celebrity to begin with, but after using some crude language about Ivanka Trump, comedian Samantha Bee will have to find an alternative route into next weekend’s Western Conservative Summit.

Organizers of the largest gathering of conservatives outside the D.C. beltway said Saturday that the hostess of “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” on TBS has rejected the press pass the show requested for the speeches and festivities Friday and Saturday at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

The beef goes back farther than last week’s brouhaha, when Bee used harsh slang about an intimate part of the female anatomy to describe the president’s daughter in a picture holding her child. The implication or – er – joke was that the president’s daughter didn’t care about the Mexican children being separated from their parents at the U.S. border.

Bee apologized as advertisers pulled away, but conservatives saw it as a liberal media double standard after ABC cancelled  the highly popular show starring Trump-loving Roseanne Barr, whose tweets last week were widely viewed as racist, comparing a former Clinton ally, who is black, to a monkey.

Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute and chairman of the Western Conservative Summit, said that two years ago Bee’s production team came to the summit and didn’t play fair.

“Instead, they bullied and harassed our attendees,” he said in a statement Saturday. “Conservatives are tired of being mistreated by the liberal media. Shows like ‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee’ are not intent on reporting but bullying and shaming conservatives.”

Bee’s people could not be reached for comment Saturday.  Bee didn’t immediately respond to a tweet from Colorado Politics.

But in its press release the Centennial Institute, which is housed at Colorado Christian University, noted that Been used “a vulgar term not permitted on television” to describe Ivanka Trump.

The conservative showcase will feature conservative stars.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, another person President Trump sometimes doesn’t like, will speak Friday night.

National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch and Parkland High shooting survivor Kyle Kashuv also are a part the lineup, along with all four Republican candidates for governor.

Colorado Politics will be there to report on the major speeches.
