The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel: Beltway loop a step closer to completion

It didn’t unfold as a massive, all-at-once multimillion-dollar project as some envisioned, but a completed interior “beltway” is closer to becoming a reality now that city and county officials are putting planning resources into an interchange at 29 Road and Interstate 70.

As the Sentinel’s Gary Harmon reported Monday, completing the interchange will provide a final link in the beltway, a route leading from Interstate 70 to the Riverside Parkway, then west along the Colorado River and Las Colonias Park to 25 Road and then toward the 24 Road-I-70 interchange.
