The Fort Collins Coloradoan editorial: In Fort Collins, we are all neighbors

It is hard to live in another’s skin.

To understand what it feels like when someone else projects his or her bias onto your life.

We can’t imagine what people living in the United States illegally must feel as they enter a restaurant or walk down the street. Most of us who are reading this editorial were born here.

There is one critical fact for those who are here illegally and following the laws of our nation, state and city to know: The U.S. Constitution affords you – affords all of us – protection.
