The Brush News-Tribune editorial: Brush is safe, you can make it safer

The issue: Brush has been named the ninth safest city in Colorado by a Safewise report, largely because of FBI crime data.

We say: Ranking among the top 10 safest communities is something of which to be proud, but Brush can do better.

It is fairly unlikely that you may ever be a victim of violent crime in Brush, and that has the community ranked among the 10 safest places to reside in all of Colorado.

Take pride in that. If you were to relocate in the state, there would only be eight other places you could reside where you would likely feel safer.
