Lynch named executive, political director for state GOP

The Colorado Republican Party on Monday named Ryan Lynch executive director and political director for the state GOP, a party spokesman announced.

“Ryan has a demonstrated track record of performance in working for candidates and within the party structure. This makes him a big asset to our party and our candidates,” said Colorado Republican Party Chairman Steve House in a statement. “He has deep roots in our state and a broad range of relationships across it.”

Lynch has been working as a consultant supporting state Republican operations since House was elected chairman this spring. He was a consultant with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential campaign until late last month when Walker withdrew from the race for the Republican nomination.

“We are heading into a critical election year, one that will decide the direction of our state and nation,” Lynch said in a statement. “It’s imperative that the party continues reaching out to county leaders, elected officials, candidates and volunteers to ensure we elect Republicans up and down the ticket in 2016. I’m thankful that Chairman House has entrusted me with this opportunity.”

Lynch was born in Colorado Springs and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder. His government and political experience includes work as field director for 2006 Colorado gubernatorial candidate Marc Holtzman, for the Republican National Committee’s campaign later that year in Nebraska and for the 2008 John McCain campaign in Colorado. Last year, he was campaign manager for former state Sen. Greg Brophy’s gubernatorial bid and then was deputy campaign manager and political director for former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez’s gubernatorial run.

“Ryan knows exactly what our Party needs to accomplish in the next few months,” House said. “We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber willing to help lead our party forward.”
