The Denver Gazette and Colorado Politics asked citizens what they thought of President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office.

Here’s how they graded the returning president.

“He has done some great things. He is securing our border, and he has raised tariffs to where we can finally have fair trade with other nations. He has started banning men from women’s sports. Also, he has started fighting back against the Houthis to open up trade routes in the Red Sea area. Those were the issues that were important to me and why I voted for him.”

Edward Henley

Hometown: Fort Collins

Grade: B

“Illegal border crossings were a top 1 or 2 ranking issue for voters in the last election, but the bad optics cloud the legal deportation process. It’s never an easy thing to do, deporting someone. However, it’s a necessary process to get some of these criminal elements out of our country and to protect American citizens.”

Bridget Pasquinzo

Hometown: Fort Collins

Grade: D

“It’s not an F because, No. 1, he told us this was all coming. We just didn’t listen. He also has taken steps to roll back regulations, which he did promise, as well. I do agree there was government overspending and cuts needed to be made, but this is drastic and in such a short time. He didn’t heed the actual impacts on people. It is just rash and irresponsible in my honest opinion.”

“I’m queer, and I grew up in a low-income family, and just seeing the policies that he’s making towards queer folks, towards immigrants like my grandma who immigrated here, just seeing all the stuff that he has to say and policies that he’s trying to put in place, it’s just really hard to see that in leadership for our country — and that’s not to say that Biden did better. I have my problems with the Democratic Party, too, but I just don’t think that the policies he’s trying to enact and everything he says when you put a microphone in front of the guy is what America stands for and what this country has been built on.”
