The Fort Collins Coloradoan editorial: Coombes will serve District 3 with practical approach

The residents of Fort Collins City Council District 3 will be represented ably by either Gordon Coombes or Ken Summers.

The area, which stretches from Front Range Village on the north to Fossil Creek Reservoir on the south, and from Interstate 25 to College Avenue, is miles from Fort Collins’ Old Town epicenter.

With its shopping, tech and other industry, and easy access to the interstate, residents have noted it can feel as if it is a community within a community, though the residents who live there proudly call Fort Collins home.

So this is the dynamic the next representative for District 3 faces: How does one bring District 3 priorities to the table while recognizing significant issues that rise closer to downtown
