Oil and Gas Rules Colorado

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis makes a point during an appearance at The Energy Summit, which was staged by Colorado Oil and Gas Association, Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019, in Denver. Polis was questioned about new rules that he signed into law that increase regulations on the industry.

Gov. Jared Polis and U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner will discuss Western Colorado issues later this month at the annual Club 20 Fall Conference in Grand Junction.

Also speaking at the conference Sept. 20-21 will be U.S. Rep. Scott Tipton, Attorney General Phil Weiser, Colorado Commissioner of Insurance Michael Conway, Colorado Natural Resources Director Dan Gibbs and Colorado Parks and Wildlife Director Dan Prenzlow.

"Now, more than ever before, it is imperative to engage with our elected officials so we have a voice in shaping the landscape of Western Colorado, both literally and figuratively," Club 20 Executive Director Christian Reece said in a news release.

The event is open to the public, but registration is required.

"The issues we are facing as a region, a state and a nation have far-reaching implications, and it is vital that our leaders, both locally and in our nation's capital, be strong advocates on behalf of the needs of our communities," Reece said.
