Ryan Frazier's campaign announced Monday that Paul Tauer has given his endorsement to the former city councilman in the November race for Aurora mayor.
“His legacy as mayor is still being realized today through the incredible medical advancements currently taking place at the Anschutz Medical Campus, as well as the education of our next generation of health care professionals at the medical school," Frazier said in a statement. "Mayor Tauer embodies what it means to be a true champion of Aurora, I will build on his example.”
Big names are lining up behind the six candidates for Aurora mayor, and the name Tauer, um, towers over this east-metro city.
Tauer led the city for 16 years before his son followed him for eight. Ed Tauer was Aurora's mayor until he left office due to term limits in 2011.
Paul Tauer stated that Frazier represents what Aurora needs and asked fellow Aurorans to support Frazier in November.
“Ryan is honest with a clear vision for Aurora that is needed in these changing times," he said. "He loves Aurora, has worked for Aurora, and will build bridges throughout our city that ensures Aurora’s best days are ahead."
