APTOPIX Sept 11 Anniversary

The Tribute in Light rises above the lower Manhattan skyline, Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019 in New York. Wednesday marks the 18th anniversary of the terror attacks against the United States of Sept. 11, 2001.

Colorado politicians are offering statements on social media in remembrance of Sept. 11.

Sen. Michael Bennet wrote on Twitter that the "time of immense darkness" was brightened by the heroes who saved lives.

Sen. Cory Gardner also conveyed appreciation for the first responders, as well as the military for their ongoing service.

Former Gov. John Hickenlooper expressed similar sentiment while referencing the hashtag #NeverForget.
