We want Nick Gradisar’s tenure as mayor to be successful. We really do.

But already, after his very first meeting with the City Council as mayor-elect, he has suggested an approach to governing that causes us great concern.

Specifically, he told council members that it would be better if they kept any disagreements they might have with him private. Gradisar said Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers told him that dissent among government officials could hurt economic development.
