Basketball fans are no doubt familiar with the last-second halftime shot. These shots, often launched from mid-court or beyond as time expires, carry little risk for the teams that take them. The shots may not have a great chance of going in the basket, but if they do, they provide two or three extra points and some momentum for the teams that make them.

Pueblo officials should keep that in mind and try to convince the National Basketball Association’s Denver Nuggets to put a G League team in our city.

Would it be a bold move? Yeah. A little unexpected? Well, maybe. But being timid and predictable won’t get Pueblo anywhere.
