How many times have you gone to see a sequel that doesn’t live up to the quality of the original movie? Well, for months now, a determined group of political operatives has been trying to force us into a sequel of sorts to the 2018 elections.

They’ve attempted to force recall elections against Gov. Jared Polis and several state legislators, including our own state Sen. Leroy Garcia. And thankfully, they have failed time and time again.

Polis critics weren’t able to gather enough signatures to hold a recall election against the Democratic governor. Nor were they able to muster enough signatures to recall state Sen. Pete Lee of Colorado Springs, state Sen. Brittany Pettersen of Lakewood or state Rep. Tom Sullivan of Centennial, all of whom also are Democrats.
