Attendance may not have been equal to that of previous years, thanks to a commitment to COVID safety, but the 750 who gathered at the National Western Events Center for Western Fantasy 28 opened their wallets wide, raising $1,035,000 for Volunteers of America-Colorado.
The gala, which raised $1.5 million, was an event as unique and elaborate as the venue itself.

They act as scaffolding to strengthen organizations that do good by bringing nonprofit leaders and philanthropists together to learn from one another, conducting research, and doing advocacy. The groups have long received few philanthropic funds and have struggled to win attention from individual donors.
Colorado 50-50, a Fort Collins-based nonprofit has been awarded a $10,000 grant for its work to boost gender parity in positions of power in Colorado.
