9NEWS A Line crossing (copy)

An RTD A Line train at a crossing gate. (file)

Police say the Denver area's Regional Transportation District isn't responsible for the deaths of two people hit by trains last week.

A pedestrian was killed by RTD's A Line train  that runs from Denver to the airport on Friday evening. Another person was hit by that train at the same location Saturday afternoon.

KUSA-9News reports that investigators found that the person killed Friday wasn't paying attention while crossing the tracks and that the second death involving the A Line appeared to be a suicide.
