As he tees up for what might be the political fight of his life, U.S. Sen Cory Gardner will address like-minded political activists from across the country at the Western Conservative Summit on July 12.
The 10-year-old showcase in Denver is hailed as the largest gathering of conservatives outside of Washington, D.C.
Gardner speaks there almost annually, but this year he comes in as one of the most endangered GOP senators up for re-election next year. A poll released this week showed his approval rating in Colorado is just 40%. A dozen Democrats are vying for the nomination to take him on next year.
“From nearly the beginning, Sen. Gardner has been a regular favorite at the Western Conservative Summit," Jeff Hunt, chairman of the Western Conservative Summit, said in a statement.
"He has taken Colorado's conservative principles of limited government, individual liberty and personal responsibility to the national level. We are grateful he will be joining us once again at this year's summit.”
A prominent list of speakers was previously announced.
