Carson Elementary School officials sent a message to parents on Tuesday warning of two attempted child enticements in the Hilltop neighborhood Monday night.

According to the message acquired by The Denver Gazette, two men in a white Chevrolet full-size van without license plates approached a student in-between 3rd and 4th Avenues and Fairfax Street around 8 p.m. Monday.

The vehicle approached the student and the men demanded the child to get in, but the child ran away. The van then was seen speeding off on Fairfax before turning east on 6th Avenue, according to the release.

Additionally, another incident occurred while a student was playing on a playground near Albion Street.

A white SUV drove by the student, stopped and smiled and motioned for them to come to the vehicle, but the student ran home and reported the incident to their family members, according to the release.

The Denver Police Department and Denver Public Schools' Department of Safety are aware of the incidents and are investigating.
