Aurora City Council member Francoise Bergan kicked off her re-election campaign last week to continue to represent Ward 6 in the southeast part of the city.
Her supporters, her campaign said, include Centennial Mayor Stephanie Piko, Aurora Mayor pro-tempore Bob Roth and University of Colorado Regent Heidi Ganahl.
Bergan told supporters at her kickoff event how Ward 6 had benefited from the city's major developments.
Her campaign cited "improved traffic control, increased public safety, neighborhood parks and trails, median landscaping—and a recreation center already in the bid process for design."
Bergen was elected to her first term in 2015.
She chairs the Planning and Economic Development Committee and is vice-chair of the Water Committee, which serving on the Management and Finance Policy committees.
Bergan has been a board member for the Aurora Economic Development Council. the Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority and the E-470 Public Highway Authority, according to her city bio.
