National real estate developer Property Markets Group (PMG) and Hilton officially announced Tuesday it would bring a Waldorf Astoria Residences to Denver, adding 37 luxury condominiums within Cherry Creek North.

Sales will begin at $1.2 million, according to a news release. Dawn Raymond of Kentwood Real Estate will lead sales of the luxury condos ranging from 1,350 square feet to 4,320 square feet.

The luxury development places Cherry Creek among some of the “world’s most elite neighborhoods,” the announcement said.

“This project exemplifies our commitment to expanding our portfolio in sought-after destinations, joining more than 30 luxury branded residential properties trading or under development,” said Dino Michael, Hilton’s senior vice president and global head of luxury brands, in the release.

The building was designed by Denver-based Shears Adkins Rockmore and architect Carlos Ott. BAMO was tapped as the interior design firm and aims to use raw and refined materials for a look inspired by the region’s snow-capped mountains.

Every condo will have panoramic views of the mountains and downtown Denver. Most residences will have semi-private elevator access and private balconies.

“The timeless elegance and unparalleled service synonymous with Waldorf Astoria will perfectly complement the vibrant Cherry Creek community, offering residents an extraordinary living experience that seamlessly blends luxury, comfort, and the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains,” Michael added.

The building will also feature a lounge and restaurant on the ground floor, a rooftop pool and bar, sauna, steam rooms, massage offerings, electric vehicle charging stations and a fitness-and-movement studio.

It’s set to be completed by 2027.

Louisville used-bike shop closing

The Pro’s Closet is closing its Louisville location at 1900 Taylor Ave., the used-bike company announced.

The Boulder-based retailer cited declining demand after the pandemic and “economic conditions” as reasons why they had to close.

The Pro’s Closet, founded 18 years ago by buying used bikes and refurbishing them, will hold an auction online to sell off the items in its 130,000-square-foot facility. The company is liquidating all its products and supplies including tools, equipment, bicycle parts, warehouse equipment, racking, electronics, office furniture, décor and more.

“This is an amazing opportunity for the general public, bike enthusiasts and other business owners,” said Gabriel Prado, founder and CEO of LocalAuctions.com in a press release. “Rarely does the public get a chance to bid on and purchase assets from a company like this.”

The auction will start with $5 opening bids for every item. The auction will go until Wednesday at noon. Interested bidders can preview items in-person from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Winners must pick up items between Thursday and Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024.
