News: When National Jewish Health stages its signature fundraiser, the Beaux Arts Ball, on March 8, five civic leaders will be honored as the event’s Grand Marshals.
They are:
Cal Fulenwider III, chairman and chief executive officer of L.C. Fulenwider, Inc.; L. Roger Hutson, president/CEO of HRM Resources; Steve Kris, principal of Conundrum Capital, and his wife, Elizabeth; and Jim Reuter, CEO of 1st Bank Holding Co.
Guests at the black-tie fundraiser will be treated to a “Wonka” inspired evening that is filled with themed food, drink and entertainment. It is presented by David and Bonnie Mandarich and chaired by Christy and Ferd Belz, Lindsey and Stanton Dodge, Karen and John Ikard and Julie and Brent Morse.
The Mandariches – he is president/CEO of Richmond American Homes – have a long association with National Jewish Health. Bonnie is a member of its board of directors and credits her survival from lung cancer to the care she received there. They served as Grand Marshals for the 2004 Beaux Arts Ball, and National Jewish Health is one of the nonprofit organizations receiving support from the Richmond American Homes Foundation.
In addition to honoring the Grand Marshals, the Beaux Arts Ball also is the occasion for National Jewish Health to present its highest honor, the Arthur B. Lorber Award for Distinguished Service, to Eddie Robinson.
A life member of the National Jewish Health board, which he joined in 1978, Robinson had been co-chief executive officer of Robinson Dairy, which had been run by the Robinson family for five generations. He also served as a Grand Marshal of the Beaux Arts Ball in 2000.
The award was created in 1981 to honor the late Arthur B. Lorber, who lead the transformation of what had been known as the Denver Sheltering Home into the world’s premiere treatment center for respiratory diseases.
The ball once again will be held at the Hyatt Regency at the Colorado Convention Center. Tickets start at $750 each and can be purchased by visiting nationaljewish.org/beauxartsball or emailing Clem Connolly, ConnollyC@njhealth.org
About the organization: Founded in 1899, the nonprofit National Jewish Health is regarded as the world’s leading institution dedicated exclusively to personalized, coordinated care for respiratory, cardiac, immune, social and behavioral health.
