The Nov. 18 gala, chaired by Luisa Law and Amanda Precourt, is both the signature fundraiser for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation (GLOBAL) and the world’s largest fundraiser for Down syndrome. The 2023 edition is dedicated to the memory of Anna Sie, co-founder of the Denver-based foundation that has made many transformative differences for those living with Down syndrome. She died on Sept. 20, following a long and valiant battle with cancer.

The couple also founded several related entities, including the Crnic Institute, the Sie Center for Down Syndrome, the Alzheimer’s & Cognition Center and the GLOBAL Inclusive Program.
The Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show, to be held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, features dinner, live and silent auctions, presentation of the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award and a fashion show, where the celebrity guests walk the runway with 21 youngsters who have Down syndrome.
9News anchor Kim Christiansen and retired anchor Mark Koebrich will be the masters of ceremony.
Bobby Farrelly, a director, screenwriter and producer known for such movies as Dumb & Dumber and There’s Something About Mary, and self-advocate Madison Tevlin, whose cover of John Legend’s “All of Me” went viral when she was 12, will receive the Quincy Jones Award. She also appeared alongside Woody Harrelson in the Farrelly Brothers comedy, Champions.
