The Fort Collins Coloradoan: Jared Polis offers a positive vision for Colorado

This year’s race for governor of Colorado features two seasoned major-party politicians with starkly different visions for our state.

Putting aside the barrage of misleading and exaggerated claims made against both candidates by their political foes, voters have a clear choice between Democrat Jared Polis and Republican Walker Stapleton.

For the Coloradoan editorial board, the choice is Jared Polis.

Polis, who has served 10 years in Congress, wants to get away from the cynical, petty, partisan gridlock of Washington, D.C., and come home to Colorado to get things done. He has big ideas for how to approach major issues such as health care, education and infrastructure.
