Shanahan goes long for The Donald

Former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan warmed up the crowd tonight for Donald Trump at Denver’s National Western Complex by vouching for Trump the way only rich and famous guys can.

Shanahan talked about “five or six” nice things Trump had done for him, “just beyond expectations,” without giving an example.

“He really went out of his way,” said the NFL great who lives in Cherry Hills Village.

“That doesn’t happen too often,” Shanahan said. “That’s a very special guy.”
