Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,

In Miller Hudson’s May 1 op-ed, his first three paragraphs can be summarized in one sentence: “Rich Jews meet in Sin City to hear Republicans, support Israel and hate the press.” He ignores the recent comments of Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, admitted liar. The political money from George Soros, backer of every leftist cause. And the ever-expanding Clinton, pay-to-play scandal with missing emails that may expose far more than 17 minutes of tape.

No, Hudson wants to bemoan his limited access to bagels and his feeling there is a conspiracy among the Jewish voters and leaders who would dare to march under the banner of the Republican Party. Their worst crime is they appear to be doing so outside the confines of their assigned shtetl. And doing so after the re-elected PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, dared to challenge the Dear Leader who only wants to embrace the world with Iranian nuclear arms. Thanks for the heads-up, Mr. Hudson, you are a real mench.

Dear Editor,The mayor of Denver (or staff) have never responded to my suggestions.  I guess all suggestions are worthless to those satisfied with conditions that exist.

The Denver Post gave Hancock the (earned) front page, and I was just about to be critical of the “Pest” for not covering wading into political sewage at the national level by Ben Carson.

But wait!

An excellent editorial  on presidential wanna-be Carson by Jack Meyer of Colorado Springs!

Therefore, I have no reason to write today other than to ask if “legal dope” has raised property values (a deal with the devil to craft dependency-addicts) and if Colorado counties will adjust the mill levy to thrive on their existing residential property revenues.  Yeah right.

PS…My property (unincorporated Jefferson County) just jumped in value (for tax purposes) more than I paid for my home in the first place.  I presume I can refinance into debt, like the federal government has done, to keep campaign financiers, bankers and politicians schooled at spending other people’s money, happy. Steve SchweitzbergerLittleton in Jeffco

Dear Editor,

When will Miller Hudson, a former Democrat state legislator as well as union head, do a story of Democrats kissing the ring of George Soros as he did with the Sheldon Adelson story?

There is a line between news, commentator and propagandist.

Hudson’s columns have treaded and more than once gone over the line between commentator and propagandist — by assertion and now omission.

In The Bag(dad) Hudson?

Dear Editor,

I don’t understand why the media contributes to the dumbing down of America? Everyone is missing the central point. The red light camera argument should be about safety.

Teach Americans to stop swallowing what people feed them and start asking intelligent questions.

“The real reasons why red light cameras do not improve safety are because they do not address the core flaw in the safety plan (Guessing at the yellow light).” So long as drivers are forced to guess you do not have a safety plan (You have a recipe for disaster). We’re asking drivers to make a life and death decision yet we fail to give them any meaningful data to help them make that decision.  (Every light is timed differently and human perception of time and distance varies according to stress levels. Individual opinion — for the solution — causes conflict and that conflict causes accidents.)

The cameras don’t give us any information. They only penalize us for guessing wrong. Beating the children doesn’t make them guess better. Then again, the camera companies don’t care if the children learn to guess better (Only that the beatings continue).

I get why the government doesn’t want to address this. In addition to the obvious cash flow incentives there is the liability issue no one wants to discuss. (They’re afraid admitting to a flaw in the safety program makes them liable for the 9,000 deaths and over 700,000 injuries that occur each year).

What I don’t get is, why the media doesn’t want to expose the government for failing to perform due diligence to protect American citizens?Instead of a subjective system of asking drivers a question (What do you think you should do when the light turns yellow?). We need an objective method (paint and signs) that gives them answers. See #StopGoLine:  (GO: If you pass this point before the light turns yellow, or STOP: If the light turns yellow before you pass this point.) Full details are found on the website civilliberty101.com.

We care about your safety. Show us you care about the safety of Americans in your community and publish this letter to the editor?

Thank youGeorge FinnCivilLiberty101.com

A dozen years ago the Colorado Legislature imposed a “pay-for-performance” compensation plan on state workers — no more merely going through the motions on the job and then collecting a guaranteed pay raise on the part of the alleged “deadbeats” burrowed within the ranks of state government. This plan has never really been implemented due […]

Sine Die through the years

Ten Years Ago this week in The Colorado Statesman…The Legislature gaveled down the session two days early, wrapping things up ahead of schedule for the first time since the 120-day calendar was adopted in 1989, saving taxpayers some $30,000. But not before passing the Colorado Economic Recovery Act with barely bipartisan support. Dubbed the most […]
